A Sussex Barn Wedding
Steven & Amie
Sussex Barn Wedding, North Norfolk. This wedding has been one that has been starred in my diary for what seems like forever. After photographing both Amie and Steven in their home city of Shoreditch, London, I completely fell in love with them as a couple! I could not have asked for more creative, kind and like-minded clients than these two! Both extremely driven and passionately in love, these guys are making it happen for themselves in the most down to earth way possible, which instantly made me so intrigued in their lives and personalities! I knew from the off that both Amie and Steven were going to have a spectacular wedding and didn't they just! You can find Steven and Amie's pre-wedding shoot here! Or, if you're here to scroll through their big day, stay put!
One thing I love more than anything at a wedding (apart from lovely people) are flowers. The more flowers the better! And when Amie admitted that she had approached the infamous Swaffham and Fakenham Florist with a multiple page slideshow, I instantly knew that this wedding was going to be brimming with greenery and floral colour! Teamed with the one and only Penny at The Little Lending Co. Steven and Amie's Spring wedding day boasted a rustic, tropical theme of pastel blues and bright pinks along with a bohemian vibe achieved through Persian rugs, wicker chairs, brass candlesticks and contrasting modern perspex pew ends (that displayed two beautiful floral arrangements and a chalk painted 'A' and 'S' on each one! - Penny you are a genius!) When I first spoke with Steven and Amie I was a little apprehensive as yes, the Sussex Barn is all set up for beautiful weddings, but The White House was far from finished with its major renovation taking place just half a year before the wedding. I met with Steven and Amie six weeks before their big day to have a scout round this idyllic hideaway wedding venue in the quaint north Norfolk Town of Burnham Market and I was absolutely struck with how incredible the house looked. This stunning multiple bedroom 'house' is light, airy, super modern and boasts the most beautiful exterior with the original features still very much apparent. (F.Y.I. The White House can be booked for holidays and weekend get-aways! I'm certainly thinking about hiring it out after this manic 2018 wedding season!)
I am so lucky that I have the fantastic Eloise from 'Rose & Spear Photography' to call upon when I have big, super creative weddings like this one! Eloise spent the morning documenting Steven and his Groomsmen getting ready in the morning and enjoying a quick pint to cure the nerves. Due to it being such a fantastic, creative wedding, Eloise decided to stay for the whole day and photographed some incredible shots capturing a different angle of this beautiful couple and their friends/ families - thank you lovely lady! Both Steven and Amie were so thrilled! I could go on and on about this stunning wedding day as I honestly felt like these guys were more friends than clients. Amazing day, amazing venue, amazing people, amazing flowers, amazing styling and AMAZING dresses! Scroll down to see Amie's super elegant Stephanie Allin gown and the bridesmaids Needle And Thread multi-coloured beaded designer dresses that I wanted to take home for myself!! This is a beefy blog post with over 200 images, so grab a coffee as it is a long one!
